• Our Facilities

Our resident’s health and wellbeing is of paramount importance to us and everyone is encouraged to participate in our full social and activities programme, which include, sing-a-longs with a visiting entertainer, board games, dominos, bingo sessions, reminiscence therapy, crafts, games and parties.

Residents are encouraged to follow their own interests and hobbies and our highly trained staff are always on hand to assist. Television in our day room, a library of books and daily newspapers, offer residents the opportunity to relax and keep abreast of current affairs.

Norlands benefits from being set in attractive landscaped gardens and an outside space that is accessible for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility. Friends and family are encouraged to visit as often as possible and weather permitting, are encouraged and supported to spend time with their loved ones outside in the fresh air.

Norlands has a visiting chiropodist, physiotherapist, dentist, optician and hairdresser. The local clergy visit once a month to provide Holy Communion and a chat for any residents who would benefit from this.

Staff are on hand to assist the residents in accessing the local community through visits to the local shops, cafes and the market. For our more able residents, day trips and outings are arranged.

Special occasions are celebrated together at Norlands, Easter, Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas are all celebrated to enhance the homely, caring and cheerful feel at Norlands. Birthdays are celebrated all together and friends and relatives both young and old are encouraged to visit and celebrate with the residents.
